Turbo MH-Series

Chip Management

The LNS Turbo MH-Series conveyors combine the chip carrying capability of a hinge belt conveyor with coolant filtration from 500 to 140 microns. MH-Series products are ideal for machines capable of multiple operations producing large, stringy or small chips. These conveyors, which normally fit into the machine's standard tank, are the most economical.

Features:

Filtration boxes

The LNS Turbo MH chip conveyors incorporate filter boxes inside their conveyor frame. For this purpose, continuous self cleaning filtration occurs for all coolant cycling through the machine's coolant system, to 500 or 140 microns, depending on the version. Therefore, filtration extends the coolant and tool life. In addition, this drastically reduces required tank or machine clean outs especially where small chips are produced. The number of boxes used is specifically matched to the machine tool's maximum coolant flow rate.

Self-cleaning function

To ensure the self cleaning function of the conveyor the MH chip conveyors uses brushes mounted to the inside of the conveyor belt. For this purpose, these brushes automatically clean the filters during the normal rotation of the conveyor belt. In addition, the brushes are inside the conveyor belt and are protected away from the chips that fall on the belt during the machining process. To this end, this ensures a long life and minimal maintenance. While brushes may become worn or damaged over time, they can be quickly changed with easy access through the chip conveyor discharge. The brushes are inexpensive and ensure maximum machine up-time.

Live Link

The Turbo MH chip conveyors incorporate a unique feature called "Live Link". The Live Link is incorporated into the conveyor belt. In brief, fine chips pass through the chip conveyor belt to be released to the base of the conveyor and are removed by the scraper cleats. For instance, the Live Link is closed while on the upper path of the belt to prevent chips from entering between the belt. However, on the bottom path of the belt, gravity opens the Live Link to allow any chips to be removed to the top of the belt in the normal way.
